On August 10th, the second annual Fire Island 5K – the Run for Rose – attracted over 300 people to the Fire Island Hotel in Fire Island’s Ocean Bay Park, NY. Running to raise money for the American Brain Tumor Association in honor of Rose DiGangi, participants were treated to a post-race afternoon of beer, BBQ, silent auctions and fund-raising raffles. TK New York, donated its services and managed the volunteer process from sign-up to check-in through the end of the event stepping in with hands on where needed. The event raised over $45,000.00 and grew in participation this year as well. All in all, a successful day for everyone!
